Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby.  For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it. (Matthew 7:13,14)

Locally - We at Heavens Helpers are a group of Christians doing what Jesus did by helping the helpless and healing the sick through faith in Jesus. We help those in need by feeding the poor, praying for the sick the weak and all who would ask.( Click here to view the Soup Cafe' )

Heavens Helpers offers hope when there seems no hope. We love the Lord our God with all our heart and all our souls and try and follow the example of Jesus in every way. We are here on earth to do the works of Jesus Christ by loving our neighbors as ourselves. We show that love in prayer and being of service to all who need. It's not us who does this, but Christ in us. We don't just ask What Would Jesus Do? (WWJD) We Do What Jesus Did! (DWJD)

                  "THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED"

  THE WIDE ROAD

The way of this world is indeed is a very broad way and many are they that travel it. The way of today’s Christian is a bit more narrow but still very broad in such a holy God’s eyes. They that travel this road are very comfortable in this world and want to live their best life now. They have not followed the Bible in dying to themselves or taking up their cross. (Luke 9:23,24) And he said unto all, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever would save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

Many of today’s Christians think they're on this narrow road the bible speaks of, yet instead of loving God’s word and studying the Bible to find the narrow road of truth, they depend on their church or pastor. It is easier this way. After all, not many want to hear about holiness, repentance and fear of the Lord. They would rather gather around those who make them feel good about that broad road they're traveling. “For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables” (2Tim 4: 3,4).

This "somewhat narrow way" is the most dangerous road to travel. It's smooth, it's flat, and oh so well traveled. It seems to be the way, as you can always find friends and fellow travelers who agree with you. They may fool themselves, they may fool others on that same broad road, but they're not fooling the Lord. “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. 'So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth” (Revelation 3:15). No, the Lord will not let you travel this "somewhat narrow road" forever, if you don’t choose the road less traveled, the Lord will choose for you.

 THE NARROW ROAD

The road less traveled is indeed a very narrow way. Instead of “your best life now” you find yourself striving to obey God’s word. This means not only reading and hearing the Word of God, but doing what the Word says! “Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves (James 1:22). This narrow road is the highway to holiness and you are always yielding to the Word of God. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord (Heb 12:14).

It’s not easy traveling this road, as Jesus said, “few are they that find it”. While traveling this way, you may come across Christians who have stumbled onto this narrow road, but then in seeing the condition of this path they quickly decide there’s a far easier way to travel, a way that is not so hard and not so demanding. Most of todays Christians don’t realize there is suffering and there is hardship that goes with entering through that narrow gate into heaven. (Acts 14:21,22) And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God”.

This narrow way of holiness and sacrifice is not preached today; those who are on this road less traveled may seem lonely at times, not quite understanding why they feel like such an outcast. They feel out of place in this world, even within the Christian community they feel like strangers never seeming to fit in. They try finding a church or fellow believers like themselves, but soon find that they too are on that wide road that they have been trying to avoid. Oh what a lonely road this is; yet they wouldn't have it any other way. The love they have for Jesus and the love they have for the Word of God will not let them stray from that lonely narrow road of obedience. Thus says the LORD, "Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; And you will find rest for your souls” (Jer 6:16).

  THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED

By today’s accounts, we at Heavens Helpers are most certainly on that "Road less traveled". We are not interested in popular religious beliefs or church doctrine. We are not concerned with what is pleasing to man. Our focus is on Bible truth and doing what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ commanded us to do. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you...(Matthew 28:19,20) At Heaven's Helpers we are on the "road less traveled", we believe what Jesus said is trueMost assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father (John 14:12). We don't believe that all the miraculous things that Jesus did and taught passed away with the apostles, only the faith to do them has. "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; (18) they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover”(Mark 16:17,18).  Are you a believer?
