The Two Most Dangerous Doctrines for the End Times !!

1. Once Saved Always Saved / Unconditional Eternal Security – This doctrine says that once you are “saved”, you can never lose your salvation, no matter what! (Click here for scriptural truth on this subject.)
2. Pre-Tribulation Rapture – This doctrine says that all born again Christians will be caught up to Jesus BEFORE the 7 year tribulation starts. Thus Christians will escape any end time trials. (Click here for scriptural truth on this subject.)
Two thousand years ago the “Religious establishment” of the day, God’s people were the Jews. They were after all, the chosen people of God whom the promise was passed down through Abraham; they had that eternal covenant with God. The Jewish people were very dedicated to the scriptures and followed all of the teachings of the prophets. Yet they were expecting a Messiah who would come as a mighty King and a Messiah who would rule and reign over the entire world, restoring power to His “Chosen” people! So when the Messiah was born in a manger and raised as any normal Jewish boy, they said, surely He cannot be the Messiah for “nothing good has ever come out of Nazareth”. How could a people so studied in the scripture have missed this? But they did, many of the “Religious establishment” of that day, the people of God, the ones who knew the scriptures inside and out, missed it. Many of the Jewish people missed their Messiah never believing. They are now spending eternity in hell, and regretting they listened to their religious leaders who were supposed to be watching over their souls.
What does this have to do with the Rapture and Eternal security? Everything, as we find ourselves in a very similar situation today as we did in Jesus’ day. Instead of the Jews being the covenant people with God, it’s the CHRISTIANS! They are the “Religious establishment” of today, they are the called out ones, the chosen ones that have the truth, just like the Jews in Jesus’ day. Instead of the Scribes and Pharisees as Gods Sheppard’s our leaders are called pastors. Like the Pharisees back then, who couldn’t see the prophecies of Jesus, our pastors are once again leading the sheep astray, teaching that you cannot lose your salvation and that Jesus is coming in a secret pre-tribulation rapture where you won’t have to endure any hardship or tribulation. If we the sheep, do not study God’s word and find out the truth, we too could fall just like in Jesus’ day. After all, weren’t they following what they thought would get them into heaven? Weren’t they being holy in their eyes and according to God’s Law? But yet they believed their Shepard’s, and rejected Jesus and they are now spending eternity in hell.
So let’s explore the Pre-Tribulation Rapture and Eternal Security and why it’s so dangerous. I will attempt to give you a story and a series of fictitious yet real events. You will then see how hard the tribulation could be and how very dangerous it is to hold onto these false doctrines.
Setting – America
Time – Starting sometime very soon
It’s a beautiful spring day throughout America, even though the weather has been very volatile, all seems normal. People have seemed to grow more and more accustomed to all the natural disasters of earth quakes, floods, tornados, hurricanes, and tsunami’s. Even Iraq is not on most peoples minds any more.
Many Christians are aware of what time it is, for the Lord has put a quickening in their spirit, they know that these are the birth pains that were talked about by Jesus. Surly it won’t be long before the Lord comes in the clouds for them. The pastors have prepared them for the Rapture and most have seen or read the “Left Behind” series explaining how that during the Rapture, they will be taken up to heaven before the dreaded 7 year tribulation starts. They know It could happen at any time, “in the twinkling of an eye”. So because of this hope, each believer prepares in their heart so they’ll be “dressed and waiting” when their Bridegroom appears. Other Christians who do not have that quickening in their spirit, have the comfort of knowing that long time ago they were saved. Even though they rarely go to church, and are very busy with careers and family, when Jesus comes, they will be ready. “Thank you Jesus for saving me, thank you that I can never lose my salvation.” Is what they say in their hearts.
Suddenly out of no where, all news channels go into a full scale panic. Special reports begin to come in. It seems there have been several HUGE explosions throughout the country. Details are sketchy but it seems that nuclear explosions have destroyed the cities of New York, Atlanta, and San Francisco.

Boy what a year that was, thank the Lord it’s over! Many Christians are alarmed at the severity of the birth pains (trying times before the Tribulation starts) and are now more convinced than ever that Jesus is on His way. Christians are continuing to scan the news for any agreement with Israel and the rebuilding of the temple. When this happens, they know the tribulation starts and Rapture is coming! Praise the Lord that He is coming soon!
Little do people realize that the tribulation has already started and we’re almost 6 months into it. No one has warned them! The Christians that are watching for signs of the end times are looking for the temple to be built in Jerusalem and a peace treaty signed with Israel. None of that has happened so they know the great Tribulation has yet to start and therefore the Rapture cannot happen yet. So just as it was in the days of Jesus, the “chosen of God”, the religious establishment, the Christians do not recognize the signs of the times, they do not have spiritual eyes to see what time it really is.

What Time is it? 1 ½ years into the tribulation
This was a very tough year for both Christians and non-Christians alike! The world seems to be going to “hell in a hand basket” Christians are getting very restless. “Why are things getting so bad and why hasn’t Jesus come for us yet?” This is the mantra you hear amongst most Christians, but they are comforted that there is still no Temple rebuilt in Israel and no 7 year peace treaty yet. So that means they have not missed the Rapture. “Come Lord Jesus come soon”
With the crack down of hate speech and religious extremism, more and more churches are preaching a generic “god” that is all loving and never condemning. Many churches who teach all of what is in the Bible have now lost their 501C3 tax status and the pastors have been thrown into detention centers. This is only a few, for most of the churches don’t want to jeopardize their tax status or be in violation of the Patriot Act 3 that has landed many preachers into jail, so they preach a watered down version of the Gospel without mentioning the name of Jesus or reading from the Holy Bible. Of course repentance is no longer preached for it insights hurtful feeling and that is deemed as “hate speech.” You hear Christians talking amongst themselves saying “Thank God that we are saved through Jesus! Thank God we have Eternal security and can never be lost!” They are also heard saying “Even though we don’t say the name of Jesus out loud, I say it to my self and God knows I love Jesus and he knows my heart. He will never leave me nor forsake me.” This is the common attitude of most Christians now. Things are bad, but maybe we are still in the birth pains. There’s still hope.
There are however, a very small vocal minority of believers that are boldly preaching Jesus and saving the lost. They are doing this in the streets and in houses. Accompanying them are mighty miracles, healing the sick with all types of signs and wonders just like what was done in Jesus’ day. This has made the other Christians who no longer confess Jesus in public, very angry. They say they are doing the works of the devil and are demon possessed, dangerous and need to be locked up. Yet these believers press on and are not afraid of what will happen if they get caught.

What Time is it? 2 ½ years into the tribulation
This was the hardest year yet for Christians. There seems to be a clear separation between many of those that call themselves “Christians” and those that are still preaching and teaching Jesus and the Bible. There are a few still hoping for the long awaited Rapture, so they can escape from the hardships that are occurring. Not many though as most have given up on God. The ones that are left with a little bit of faith have a growing under current of doubt. Many are thinking that maybe what they have been taught about Jesus, the Rapture and the Bible was all a lie. Surely a loving God would not allow His people to go through such difficult times. Where is Jesus? Why would God allow all this suffering and death? The ones that are not starting to doubt their faith are still going to church, but they keep any mention of Jesus to themselves and have long since gotten rid of any Bible. They are sure that Jesus knows their heart and will understand that they still love Him. After all, they asked Jesus into their heart and were saved by Jesus many years ago. Times are very tough and they say to themselves “God would not hold it against me if I have to steal and pillage to feed my family, God understands the hard times we are in and He forgives me. Thank you Lord I am saved and cannot lose it”! (Rev. 3:15-16) I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth.
On the other side of the Christian fence, you still have those that are bold in their faith. Ones that are not afraid of being hauled off to the detention centers in the middle of the night. Believes who know that this could be their last day, because they confess the name of Jesus boldly. These are different times in America, but they are not shaken! In fact, they are spreading the gospel message to millions and people are being saved world wide. Yet at the same time, more and more Christians are giving up their faith because Jesus has let them down.

Well it’s been 3 ½ years now since the Tribulation started and most people, including Christians, don’t even know that it’s begun. Just like in the days of Jesus, nobody recognizes any of the signs. No apparent Antichrist, no temple, no treaty…. Just like in Jesus’ day when the chosen people of God did not recognize the signs and scripture telling of the Messiah, nothing that our churches have taught us can pinpoint that we are in the tribulation! The world is now in disarray, not knowing the end has begun, it’s every man for himself. Food seems to be the most important commodity. Lawlessness is a common place, but now there seems to be a glimmer of hope, that is if you are willing to take the spiritual advice of your pastor and get “chipped”. The up side of getting “chipped” is that you no longer have to carry your ID card or money, so therefore you don’t have to worry about any one stealing what little you do have. The best thing about it is that you get a monthly food ration that is meager by standards just 5 years ago, but enough to get you and your family by. There are a few down sides to being “chipped”; first of all they can track you by the radio frequency it gives off. They know where you are at all times and know everything about you. We also must give our allegiance to this new “World Federation” but that’s OK, as most feel they are still Americans inside. A condition to the “chip” is that you must adhere to United Religion Act and follow their guidelines to just use the name of god and not speak the name of any particular god such as Allah or Jesus. They have found that this will not offend others and eliminates wars and fighting. That’s alright to most “Christians” because they have not spoken of the name of Jesus in churches for over three years now. Those who have taken the mark say to themselves, “I know who I am praying to and Jesus knows my heart. Even if this was the mark, Jesus would not send me to hell for trying to provide for my family. God would never leave me nor forsake me. Thank God for my guaranteed salvation”!
Yes, it seems this is how this whole thing started, with religious extremists, namely Muslims trying to push for their cause, killing and terrorizing along the way. In an effort to eliminate further wars, and bloodshed, they have blended all religions together under the UN’s and now The World Federations, United Religions Act. There is one problem though... There’s a small but growing group of radical Christians who will not compromise with the world and the government approved churches. They will not take this chip and these Christians are continuing to warn people to not take the mark of the Beast. They are giving illegal bibles out and converting people into “Jesus lovers” at an amazing rate. There’s also talk of all the miracles they are doing. What’s difficult for authorities is that they’re growing in number and always seem to be one step ahead of the law. Almost like some one is tipping them off and leading them to safety.
Christians in America have fallen into one of four different groups:
1. The first and largest group is those who have fallen away completely from religion. What they have believed about a loving God and a secret Rapture in their mind has been a total lie, and want nothing to do with God any more. It is survival of the fittest and they will do what ever it takes to survive. But now that they’ve volunteered to be “chipped” it’s getting better.
2. The second group of Christians is smaller than the first group. They are those who haven’t given up their faith in God. They’re not sure what these rough times are or how it affects the second coming of Jesus, but they are trying their best and attending the government approved churches. They have also been doing their part in turning over to the authorities those radical “Jesus Freaks” who have caused so much trouble. They’re thankful though for the new program that allows you to get food rations. The only thing they have to do is voluntarily get “chipped”, isn’t that easy! “Thank you Lord, that we can never lose our Salvation!”
3. Now the third group of Christians is smaller yet. They too haven’t given up their faith in God. They still believe these rough times are only the beginning of how bad the Tribulation will get but they’re not completely sure because this seems way way tougher than things should be before the tribulation starts. They’re still hoping for some kind of Rapture to save them, but for the time being they will keep going to the approved “churches” even though the pastor says its OK to get “chipped” they’re not going to do it because it’s being put in the right hand like the bible used to say when they could read it years ago. They remember what it said about those who took the “Mark of the Beast”. (Rev 14:9-11) “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, (10) he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. (11) And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
4. The fourth and final group of Christians is the smallest group by far! These are what the Federation considers the trouble makers and extremist! They have not compromised their faith; in fact their faith has grown by leaps and bounds. They understand that preaching Jesus and reading and following the Bible is against the law, but they follow a higher law and that is the Law of God. They know the consequences of getting caught. Yet they are willing to lay down their lives for the sake of Jesus. They constantly have to be on guard of the other so called “Christians” because they will either turn them into authorities or take matters into their own hands and kill these extremists themselves just for the extra reward of rations. As for food, not one of these brothers and sisters in Christ has gotten “chipped” so food is very scarce. Yet they have been provided for by the unseen hand of God. They have seen miracle after miracle, just like when Jesus multiplied the fishes and the loaves or when manna fell from heaven, these believers are never in want. When the enemies are approaching, the Lord seems to lead them to safety when all looks lost. One thing they realize is that they are indeed in the midst of the tribulation and that there is no secret Rapture coming until the tribulation is over. They also understand that times are only going to get worse and this chip that every one is rushing to get is indeed THE MARK OF THE BEAST and soon it will be mandatory and not just voluntary. They’re OK because they trust in the Lord with all their hearts.

These were just very few of the headlines for the year as millions were killed in natural disasters, fighting and disease. Yet, that’s not a concern as most are only concerned about their survival and feeding their families at this point.
What was foreseen by the “radical Christians” who have not taken the mark of the Beast has now taken place. The “Mark” has now been enforced on every man, women child! What’s happened to the group of Christians who tried to compromise between serving Jesus and at the same time not using His name or getting caught with the Bible? These are the ones that vowed they wouldn’t get “chipped”. Yet every one to the last has now taken the “mark”. It is reminiscent of the days of Jesus when the Pharisees convinced the people that Jesus was not the Messiah and they must crucify Him for blasphemy against God. How many “religious” people did they send to hell? The religious leaders did not recognizing the scriptures and prophecies of Jesus, so they lead the sheep to slaughter. So it is with the pastors who have convinced the people today that we will be raptured before the tribulation and that we can never lose our salvation and that this “chip” and all what’s happening doesn’t line up with what they believe the Bible to say about the mark of the Beast. How many sheep have they led to slaughter?
Christians who swore they would not take this “whatever it is” in the hand have now reasoned that they have to be able to eat and feed their families. So they use the scripture they can remember to justify what they are doing. (1 Timothy 5:8) But if any provideth not for his own, and specially his own household, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever. Also, they don’t want to be imprisoned or lose their head, they don’t see a beast and they do not see anyone who looks like the Antichrist, therefore this cannot be the dreaded “Mark of the Beast” besides most of them were saved by Jesus years ago and they know that He will never leave them or forsake them and they’ll always be saved.
(Rev. 13:16-17) And he causeth all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, that there be given them a mark on their right hand, or upon their forehead; and that no man should be able to buy or to sell, save he that hath the mark, even the name of the beast or the number of his name.
(Rev.14:9-11) And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a great voice, If any man worshippeth the beast and his image, and receiveth a mark on his forehead, or upon his hand, he also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is prepared unmixed in the cup of his anger; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: and the smoke of their torment goeth up for ever and ever; and they have no rest day and night, they that worship the beast and his image, and whoso receiveth the mark of his name.
This concludes the story of why it is so dangerous to believe the lies of “Once saved always saved” and the all fly away pre-tribulation Rapture. They are very palatable doctrines that tickle the ears and sooth the soul, but when things do not go according to what our preachers and churches are telling us, what will you do? Have you studied the scriptures diligently to understand the truth? Will recognize Jesus when He comes back in His true believers during the tribulation? Will you be as the Jews in Jesus’ day who persecuted Jesus and His disciples? Will you recognize the times we’re in once we enter into the tribulation? Very few understood the times they were in when Jesus was born in a manger, a very small number knew Jesus was the Messiah and most of “Gods people” never believed on Him and later went on to persecute Jesus and then saints. Do you have ears to hear and eyes to see? Please pray on this and study God’s word before He comes and finds you sleeping with no oil in your lamps.
